I tried Batter blaster and for some reason mine never came out of the can that thick no matter how well I would shake it. I think my can was defective. :/

So, it appears that you haven't used any or enough oil in your pan, which does in fact, make it hard to flip your flapjack. The instructions (at least they do here online in FAQ) suggest that you use cooking spray and a small amount of butter. ALSO, you should turn your heat down a tad if it gives you a little more time for a few more bubbles in the surface. This would also help you score flipping success. Anyway, just a few observations. I can't wait to try these myself. :o)
