Another creative fan has come up with a very interesting recipe: BATTER BLASTER FRIED OREOS! She even made a YouTube video for us. Thanks, Stephanie!
Fried Oreo
Submitted by Stephanie D.
Ingredients:
Vegetable Oil
Batter Blaster Buttermilk or Organic Original batter
Oreos
Powdered Sugar
Chocolate syrup
Homemade whipped cream
Directions:
1. Heat vegetable oil in saucepan to a medium heat. Test the oil’s temperature by spraying a dab of Batter Blaster into the oil. If the batter keeps its color, then it’s ready. If the batter doesn’t bubble, turn up the heat. If the batter immediately turns brown, turn down the heat.
2. Next, spray some Batter Blaster in a small bowl and dunk the Oreos (however many you want to make) in the batter to cover completely.
3. Using a pair of tongs, remove the Oreos from the batter and drop them in the heated oil. Use a fork to flip the Oreo to check the underside. Once this side is golden brown, flip the Oreo and let the reverse side cook for the same amount of time.
4. When both sides are golden brown, take the Oreos out of the oil and place them on a paper towel to soak up the excess oil.
5. Serve the Oreos on a plate topped with chocolate syrup, powdered sugar and homemade whipped cream. Yum!
Diet Detective lists Batter Blaster Organic Whole Wheat with Brown Sugar & Cinnamon on the top of his list of “15 Five-Minute Quick and Healthy Breakfasts.”
The Batter Blaster excerpt from Diet Detective’s article:
Batter Blaster Ready to Cook Pancake and Waffle Batter Organic Whole Wheat with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon
I love this new food product. It’s really fantastic, especially if you have kids. What is it? You simply shake and then turn the can upside down and point the nozzle at the heated pan — and presto, you have healthy pancakes (or waffles). Think of a whipped cream container. The great thing about this very quick breakfast is that the main ingredient is organic whole-wheat flour. Also, for a supermarket product, it has a very clean label (with words you can pronounce). Look at these ingredients: filtered water, organic whole-wheat pastry flour (unbleached), organic wheat flour (unbleached), organic dark brown sugar, organic cane sugar, organic eggs, sea salt, organic cinnamon, organic rice bran extract, propellant. And even better, the pancakes are fun to make and have just 90 calories per serving.
Thanks, Diet Detective!

Batter Blaster Ice Cream Sandwich

Ingredients:
Batter Blaster Double Chocolate (or Organic Whole Wheat with Cinnamon & Brown Sugar)
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (or ice cream flavor of your choice)
Cooking spray
Directions:
1. Preheat waffle iron or griddle to 325 degrees (or 350 degrees if using Organic Whole Wheat). When the iron or griddle is done heating up, spray with cooking spray.
2. Make a Batter Blaster waffle or two Batter Blaster pancakes.
3. When the waffle is done, put a scoop of ice cream on one side and fold over the other side like a sandwich. If you are making pancakes, simply stack the pancakes on top of each other with ice cream in the middle. Wrap your ice cream sandwich in saran wrap and stick in the freezer.
4. Leave in the freezer for at least 3 hours. Then remove it and enjoy!

Yesterday, being Flag Day and all, we got a little patriotic in the office. Low and behold we came up with a new recipe!
Ingredients:
Strawberries
Blueberries
White Chocolate Chips
Batter Blaster Organic Original or Buttermilk
Directions:
1. Warm up your griddle or frying pan at a low heat so the batter doesn’t cook too fast.
2. Spray the batter on in a small rectangle (make sure it’s small enough to flip, unlike the above picture).
3. Drop blueberries, chopped strawberries and white chocolate chips in the batter to form the shape of the United States flag.
4. Turn up the heat to a medium level so the entire underside of the pancake cooks. When it seems ready, quickly flip the pancake over. The fruit will make a sizzling sound on the griddle; this is normal and does not mean it is burning.
5. In 2-4 minutes, your flagjack will be ready! Serve with syrup, whipped cream or any topping you like!
Today’s Recipe of the Day was emailed to us by a Batter Blaster fan! We haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, but we think it sounds pretty darn good. Thanks, Treeva, for the creative recipe idea!

Picture and recipe idea from The Novice Chef blog
Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
Ingredients:
Batter Blaster Organic Whole Wheat with Brown Sugar & Cinnamon
2/3 Cup of Pecans
3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
½ tsp Cinnamon
½ Cup Powered Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla
Milk
Butter (or cooking spray)
Directions:
1. Preheat your griddle (or frying pan) for 10-15 minutes until it reaches 350 degrees (medium heat).
2. While your griddle (or frying pan) is heating up, toast your pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat. When they start becoming fragrant, put them in a small food processor or blender and add maple syrup. Pulse until paste-like.
3. To make the glaze, sift powdered sugar into a bowl adding cinnamon followed by the vanilla and a little milk. Continue to add milk until you get the proper consistency.
4. Next, coat your pan with butter (or cooking spray) and cook your Batter Blaster Organic Whole Wheat with Brown Sugar & Cinnamon pancakes on your heated griddle. You can always add more cinnamon in the batter to give the pancakes a little more spice!
5. When your pancakes are ready, place a little bit of your pecan-maple paste in the center of each pancake and roll it up. Then, drizzle your pancake rolls with the glaze.
6. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top and enjoy!
